Welcome to the Carolina Association of Translators and Interpreters (CATI). We serve North and South Carolina as a Chapter of the American Translators Association (ATA), and our membership is open to anyone interested in translation or interpretation who supports the following aims of the association:

To promote the recognition of translating and interpreting as professions and to defend and support the interests and concerns of professional translators and interpreters.
To encourage high-quality service and ethical business practice among members.
To disseminate information to the public about translating and interpreting.
To facilitate mutual assistance among translators and interpreters and to provide a medium for collaboration with persons in allied professions.

Yasmin Wurts Metivier appointed to Hispanic/Latino Affairs Council
Gov. Mike Easley has appointed Yasmin Wurts Metivier to the Governor's Advisory Council on Hispanic/Latino Affairs. Metivier is the president of Panoltia, Inc. She is the advisor to the Institute of Mexicans Abroad and is the host of Open-Net, an English-Spanish website.
