“CATI Scholarship Program” has caused misunderstandings.
We have therefore renamed it:
“CATI Student Contribution Membership”

Welcome to the Carolina Association of Translators and Interpreters (CATI). We serve North and South Carolina as a Chapter of the American Translators Association (ATA), and our membership is open to anyone interested in translation or interpretation who supports the following aims of the association:

To promote the recognition of translating and interpreting as professions and to defend and support the interests and concerns of professional translators and interpreters.
To encourage high-quality service and ethical business practice among members.
To disseminate information to the public about translating and interpreting.
To facilitate mutual assistance among translators and interpreters and to provide a medium for collaboration with persons in allied professions.

New! Please mark your calendars! The 2012 CATI Conference will be April 28, 2012 @ Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. Early registration will begin March 12, 2012. The keynote speaker is Jost Zetzsche, an EN>DE translator, a localization and translation consultant, and a widely published author of books and articles on technical aspects of translation.
